FINANCE MANAGER / GROUP ACCOUNTANT
LOCATION ; COLOMBO, SRI LANKA
A Well diversified conglomerate listed in the CSE, headquartered in Sri Lanka, with business presence ranging from Leisure, Tea, Renewable Energy, Investment Management and Advisory Services is scouting for an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager / Group Accountant. We are expanding rapidly and extensively and seeking a candidate who can match our speed, contribute significantly, and gain valuable experience and exposure.
Job Profile
- Overall responsibility of day-to-day financial management of the company.
- Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Group consolidated financial statements to meet the statutory deadline.
- Preparation of annual budgets, monthly revised forecasts, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee the working capital cycle of the business and maintain cash flow at the optimum level.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations, including cost saving initiatives to the Group CFO and the senior management team to support strategic decision-making.
- Preparation of variation analysis including KPI’s and check and verify the accurate preparation of Product / Process costing.
- Coordinating with Auditors, Bankers and regulatory authorities (Ex : Tax Authorities, SEC, CSE) to ensure the smooth functioning of finance operation and compliance to rules and regulations.
- Reviewing and enhancing internal controls and financial policies while supervising, mentoring, and developing the finance team to foster growth and high performance.
Personal Profile
- Fully Qualified Member of CASL, CIMA (UK), CPA (Australia), ACCA (UK). A Degree in Accountancy and / or MBA could be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 Years of progressive experience in Finance/ Accounting in multi-sector operations and preferably in a PLC.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (SLFRS/LKAS) and the ability to prepare the full set of accounts.
- Strong understanding of industry tax laws, compliance regulations, and statutory requirements (Ex: Companies Act, SEC, and CSE regulations).
- Proven track record with the preparation of Group Financial Accounts, Managing Financial Operations, Planning, Reporting, Budgeting and ensuring compliance with statutory requirement.
- Experience with ERP systems including QB along with skills in Advanced Microsoft Excel techniques.
- A team player with the exceptional leadership capabilities with analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
