Join Our Leadership Team – Head of Sales | Nyne Hotels Sri Lanka

Nyne Hotels is a distinctive luxury boutique hotel and villa brand redefining hospitality in Sri Lanka. We pride ourselves on offering personalised service, exceptional design, and authentic guest experiences across our collection of unique properties.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven senior sales professional to join our leadership team as Head of Sales (or Sales Director, depending on experience). This is a high-impact role for a seasoned hospitality sales expert who can lead our sales strategy, build a strong market presence, and drive sustained revenue growth.

Position: Head of Sales / Manager Sales (based on Experience and Qualifications, a more senior position may also be acceptable)

  • Location: Colombo 07 (with travel to properties as needed)
  • Reports to: CEO

Role Overview:

As Head of Sales, you will lead all strategic sales efforts across the Nyne Hotels portfolio. You will be responsible for driving room and event sales, strengthening corporate and leisure partnerships, and delivering long-term revenue objectives. This role requires a proactive leader with in-depth knowledge of the luxury hospitality segment, a robust sales network, and a proven ability to manage high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust sales strategy for room and event bookings across all Nyne Hotels properties.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, leisure, and MICE segments.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, setting clear KPIs and performance standards.
  • Build and manage relationships with key clients, tour operators, DMCs, and corporate accounts.
  • Work closely with the CEO and marketing team to align sales efforts with brand positioning and promotional activities.
  • Represent Nyne Hotels at trade shows, industry events, and networking forums.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, proposals, and rate strategies to optimize yield and profitability.
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless guest experiences for booked events and stays.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field will be an advantage.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or industry certifications will be an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in hotel sales, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership or head of department role.
  • A strong background in luxury or boutique hospitality is essential.
  • Proven track record in exceeding sales targets and building high-performing teams.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the Sri Lankan and regional travel markets.
  • Well-versed in digital sales tools, CRM systems, and hotel PMS platforms.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and goal-oriented.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of catering/event sales and F&B operations is a plus.
