PURCHASING INTERN

The Continental plant in Kalutara, Sri Lanka, is a leading producer of industrial solid tires for forklifts and other material handling vehicles.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic team as Purchasing Intern at our Kalutara facility.

Your tasks

  • Assist with sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and processing purchase orders.
  • Track orders and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, databases, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with relevant internal departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely support.
  • Help prepare reports and participate in cost analysis and vendor evaluations.

Your profile

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams, solve problems, and produce clear documentation and reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and proactive in addressing operational challenges.
