JOB DESCRIPTION
The Head of IT will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, development, implementation, and maintenance of ESOFT’s information technology systems. This includes infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives across all branches.
THE JOB
- Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with ESOFT’s business objectives.
- Manage and oversee the IT department, including infrastructure, software development, systems administration, support services and data security.
- Lead digital transformation projects to enhance operational efficiency and learning delivery.
- Ensure robust data security, backup systems and disaster recovery plans are in place.
- Collaborate with other departments to assess technological needs and provide cost-effective IT solutions.
- Evaluate, procure and manage hardware, software and IT services vendors.
- Monitor emerging technologies and trends relevant to the education sector and recommend innovations.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and other relevant legal frameworks.
- Manage IT budgets and report on IT performance, risks and project progress.
- Lead, train and mentor the IT team to build a strong internal capability.
THE PERSON
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (mandatory).
- Master’s degree in IT, Business Administration or equivalent (preferred).
- Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP or cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) are an added advantage.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3–5 years in a senior IT leadership role.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, LMS platforms and integration technologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage change and lead digital transformation initiatives.
