Café Manager (Moratuwa)

The Café Manager will oversee all aspects of café operations, ensuring seamless service, staff efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role combines leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality to create an exceptional café experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, including opening and closing procedures
  • Manage and train staff, ensuring high standards of customer service and food safety
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Ensure the café meets all health and safety regulations
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café at all times
  • Collaborate on menu development and promotional activities
  • Manage cash handling, daily sales reports
  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction and service quality
  • Coordinate with suppliers and service providers

Ideal Candidate Should Have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role (at least 2 years preferred)
  • Certification in Hospitality Management or similar field
  • Barista skills and knowledge of specialty coffee preparation
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic financial reporting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • Experience with inventory and cost control
