Cadigal Group is an Australia-based engineering consultancy firm that specialises in providing structural, civil, and façade engineering solutions for the local market. The company designs and delivers projects including tall buildings, hospitals, schools, and industrial facilities. With its head office located in Sydney, Australia, this employment opportunity requires candidates to work in either the Colombo or Jaffna offices.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed RAM Concept, Rapt and SAFE models and carry out precise hand calculations for a variety of building elements, including post-tensioned structures.
- Collaborate effectively with Australian engineering teams, supporting Directors and senior management in delivering high-quality design outcomes.
- Contribute to the design and documentation phases of complex high-rise and large-scale projects with significant post-tensioned components.
- Prepare clear and accurate documentation that aligns with Cadigal Group’s engineering standards and any specific project requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly with Australian engineers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in RAM Concept, RAPT or SAFE, and other relevant structural engineering software, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables effectively.
- Proven experience preparing hand calculations in accordance with Australian standards (support and guidance provided where required).
- Significant hands-on experience in designing and detailing post-tensioned building elements is essential for this role.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in structural building design, ideally with extensive exposure to post-tensioned concrete structures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised university is mandatory.
- Prior experience within the construction industry is essential.
