Finance Executive Cashier
Walkers Tours is a premiere Destination Management Company owned by Sri Lanka’s largest conglomerate John Keells Holdings PLC with five decades of experience in the FIT, GIT and MICE segments along with a large portfolio of Tour Operators spread globally. We invite applications from suitably qualified individuals for the post of Cashier. The selected candidate will report to the Head of Finance and will be based at the Corporate Office.
The Cashier Will Be Responsible For:
- Process tour advances, settlements and cash receipts accurately in a timely manner
- Carry out daily cash balances and reconciliation of transactions generating reports
- Unsettled tour advances, IOU’s and cash advances to be reported to Senior Accountant daily
- Issue Cultural Tickets in a timely manner and monitor the CCF portal and manage the Cultural Ticket deposit. Daily reconciliation of the same and report to Finance.
- Ensure sufficient cash flows are maintained as per the operational cash requirements and ensure timely reimbursements
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role together with a Degree in Finance or a part qualification in AAT / CIMA / CA
- Knowledge in accounting standards
- Fluency in SAP systems & MS Office
- Experience in the Tourism Industry would be an additional advantage
