SENIOR MANAGER - FINANCE
(Head Office)
THE PROFILE
- Oversee the company’s overall finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and strategic financial planning.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
- Lead and manage tax compliance processes including Income Tax, VAT (including FS VAT), and Deferred Tax.
- Ensure full compliance with tax filing obligations and regulatory reporting (e.g., CBSL returns, BOI, and Inland Revenue).
- Review and authorize key accounting transactions, including payments, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with Internal and External Auditors, banks and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth audits and inspections.
- Provide strategic financial insights and reports to senior management and the board for informed decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvements in finance processes, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
- Mentor and develop the finance team to build a high-performing and future-ready department.
THE PERSON
- Fully qualified in CA Sri Lanka.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, a postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 4-5 years of progressive experience in Finance and accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity in the financial services sector.
- Thorough knowledge in Sri Lankan tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Sinhala.
- High proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and integrity.
