Access Engineering PLC, the leading value engineering solutions provider in Sri Lanka is pleased to invite applicants for the following positions (site based) for the Central Expressway Project III – Phase 2.
Senior Quantity Surveyor
- BSc in Quantity Surveying, Contract Management, or Civil Engineering (with specialization in Quantity Surveying) from a recognized university or institute
- Corporate Membership of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (IQSSL)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Highway and Major Roads sector
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end cost management for expressway works, including measurement, BOQ verification, and cost forecasting.
- Review, submit and obtain certified contractor’s payment applications, variations, and final accounts in line with contract conditions.
- Evaluate and administer claims, extensions of time, and contractual correspondence, advising project leadership on commercial risks.
- Coordinate procurement and commercial administration of subcontract packages and specialist works.
- Evaluate and certify subcontractor payment certifications in line with completed work.
- Prepare clear, timely commercial reports on cost status, risks, and opportunities for management and client meetings.
- Supervise and mentor the project QS team, ensuring high standards in measurement, documentation, and contract administration.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flows, and prepare regular cost forecasts and financial reports.
The ideal Candidate should be a team player, have positive Interpersonal and Communication skills with the willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
Familiarity with modern technological advancements will be an added advantage.
