STUDENT COUNSELLOR
Position: Student Counsellor
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: 3-4 Years
About the Role
Our client, a well-established international education institution based in Colombo, is seeking a passionate and student-focused Student Counsellor to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding prospective and current students through their academic journey while ensuring an exceptional student experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and guidance to prospective students regarding academic programs, admissions, and career pathways.
- Support students throughout the enrollment and onboarding process.
- Conduct student consultations via walk-ins, calls, emails, and virtual meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students and parents.
- Assist in achieving student recruitment and enrollment targets.
- Maintain accurate student records and update CRM systems regularly.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth admission and registration processes.
- Participate in education fairs, open days, and promotional events when required.
- Handle student inquiries and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Stay updated on program offerings, policies, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Psychology, Education, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in student counselling, academic advising, admissions, or customer-facing roles within the education industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple student inquiries effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in an international education environment will be an added advantage.
