HIRING ! PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
Sewing Operations
We are a rapidly growing Australian-owned apparel manufacturer based in Biyagama EPZ, supplying high-quality knitwear to international customers.
We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented Production Coordinator who can take ownership of order tracking and ensure smooth execution from development through to shipment. This is a fast-paced, execution-driven role where strong follow-up and accountability are critical.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track and drive order progress from development through to shipment.
- Monitor daily production status and proactively follow up on delays.
- Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Planning, and Production teams.
- Ensure material readiness (yarn, trims, accessories) is aligned with production plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date order and shipment data in systems.
- Identify delivery risks early and push for corrective action.
- Ensure orders are completed and handed over for shipment on time.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2–5 years experience in apparel manufacturing or production coordination
- Strong follow-up mindset — persistent and detail-oriented
- Good understanding of garment production flow and timelines
- Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills across departments
- Comfortable working in a factory environment with tight deadlines
- Basic computer literacy (Excel, systems, reporting tools)
