Head of Research & Development (R&D)

Araliya Packaging Lanka (Pvt) Ltd manufactures high quality products and a well-established packaging industry. We are looking for trustworthy, responsible and dynamic team players with outgoing personality to join immediately for the above mentioned position at Araliya Packaging Head Office Polonnaruwa.
Araliya Packaging Pvt Ltd is looking for a highly experienced and innovative Head of R&D to lead product innovation, process optimization, and technical development in our nonwoven and medical fabric manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead R&D strategy aligned with business growth and global market trends.
- Develop innovative products including Non Woven fabric & Film Manufacturing hygien products.
- Drive process improvements, machinery optimization, automation initiatives, and operational efficiency.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, RCA, Six Sigma, CAPA, and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, NMRA, QMS, and medical manufacturing standards.
- Oversee laboratory testing, quality systems, audits, and technical problem-solving activities.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Sales, and Export teams to support business expansion and innovation.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Textile Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 08-10 years of experience in nonwoven fabric manufacturing, medical textiles, polymer processing, or technical product development.
- Strong knowledge of SS/SSMMS Non woven material technologies.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, project management, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in sustainable packaging and recyclable material technologies.
- Exposure to automation, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing systems.
- Experience handling export customer audits and international compliance standards.
