REGIONAL MANAGER - GENERAL

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional General Insurance business strategies in line with corporate objectives.
  • Achieve regional revenue and profitability targets through effective sales and operational management.
  • Oversee branch operations within the region including underwriting, claims, administration, and staff management.
  • Monitor branch performance within the region and ensure achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify business opportunities and implement promotional and channel development initiatives to drive growth.
  • Ensure effective utilization of human resources and maintain high service standards across the region.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives for sales and non-sales staff.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners, and other stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain the company's image and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Carry out any additional duties assigned by the management in line with business requirements.

Qualifications & Pre-requisites

  • Master’s Degree / Degree / Special Degree / Professional Qualification or equivalent related to the functional area from a University Grants Commission approved University / Institute.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience at the managerial level with overall more than 10 years of executive experience in the sales industry.
  • Excellent communication skills (Sinhala/ Tamil & English)
  • Building effective interpersonal relationships Clear and continuous track record on performance
  • Age preferably below 50 years
