The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Shift Engineer to join our production team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our manufacturing facility during your assigned shifts. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the production activities during your designated shift, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Monitor production lines, equipment, and processes to identify and address any issues promptly.
- Ensure that production processes are running smoothly and efficiently, adjusting as needed to optimize output and minimize downtime.
- Maintain a keen focus on product quality and work closely with quality control teams to ensure products meet or exceed established standards.
- Work closely with production operators, technicians, and other team members to ensure effective communication and a cohesive work environment.
- Keep accurate records of production activities, including output, downtime, and any issues encountered.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and productivity improvement, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical and process, mechanical, industrial, or related field).
- 2-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and equipment will be an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and operational excellence.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team.
