Tech Lead – AI
We are seeking a Tech Lead – AI to support the bank’s existing and new initiatives related to AI & Data Science (DS). This role focuses heavily on Model-Centric AI Engineering and MLOps. You will govern the end-to-end lifecycle of internal AI applications on premise and on cloud, validate complex vendor models, mentor the internal AI team, and ensure that our predictive math is engineered into robust, monitored microservices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead AI System Design & Architecture: Design and build scalable, production-ready AI systems aligned with business goals. Optimize models both for on premise and on cloud scenarios.
- Vendor Model Oversight & Governance: Validate and monitor the performance of models delivered by external vendors.
- Mentor & Guide the AI Team: Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to ML engineers and data scientists handling internal R&D and PoCs.
- Maintain High Engineering Standards: Ensure best practices in coding, testing, documentation, version control, and reproducibility of AI experiments, particularly focusing on XAI and model governance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a hands-on AI Engineering-related role.
- Previous roles: Tech Lead – AI/ML, Senior Data Scientist, Senior Engineer – AI/ML, or similar technical lead role.
- Experience in the finance domain is an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Programming: Python
- ML/AI Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, LLM frameworks, Agentic AI
- MLOps & Cloud: GCP, MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Airflow
- Governance: Model cards, XAI tools, differential privacy, regulatory model validation
