KITCHEN MANAGER (Founding Team)

Multi-Concept Cloud Kitchen

JUICY KITCHEN – Sri Lanka

We are launching a modern, high-volume cloud kitchen in Sri Lanka and are looking for an ambitious Kitchen Manager to join our founding team. This is a fast-paced role designed for a leader who excels in a system-driven, multi-product environment. Our operation bridges the gap between gourmet innovation and high-scale QSR, featuring Gourmet Hot Dogs as our signature hero brand and High-Volume Fried Chicken driving our core operations.

Your Role

As the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee end-to-end operations, ensuring exceptional speed and consistency across multiple product lines. You will be responsible for translating culinary standards into a high-efficiency production system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Quality & Consistency

  • Oversee the preparation of fried chicken to exact timing, temperature, and breading specifications.
  • Execute gourmet hot dog assembly with a focus on precision and presentation.
  • Manage the production of signature sauces using strict standardized measurements.
  • Conduct rigorous quality and taste checks to maintain brand integrity.

Operations & Systems Management

  • Lead a high-efficiency cloud kitchen environment optimized for delivery.
  • Balance rapid service times with uncompromising quality control.
  • Implement and enforce strict opening, mid-shift, and closing protocols.
  • Maintain a Grade-A standard of kitchen cleanliness and food safety.

Team Leadership

  • Train and transition staff from traditional cooking methods to QSR system-based execution.
  • Manage shift scheduling, performance reviews, and team accountability.
  • Foster a culture of discipline and excellence within the kitchen.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Monitor stock levels across all key categories (proteins, bakery, sauces, packaging).
  • Implement waste-reduction strategies and improve yield.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the consistency of raw materials.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: 4–6 years in a high-volume hot kitchen, QSR, or fast-casual environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in deep-frying systems, pre-line optimization, and kitchen management software.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage multi-product kitchens under high-pressure conditions.
  • Education: A background from a recognized Hotel School is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
