Job Vacancy — Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor (Construction Cost Estimation)

Quantimate International Pty Ltd is a specialist construction estimating and quantity surveying consultancy delivering projects across Australia, the UK, UAE, USA, and other international markets.
We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take offs, cost estimation, rate build ups, and tender pricing. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate and commercially sound estimates for a diverse range of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Carry out accurate quantity take-offs and measurements in accordance with industry standards
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates, rate analyses, and pricing schedules for tender submissions
- Prepare cost plans, budget estimates, and tender documentation for international construction projects
- Review drawings and specifications to identify scope, risks, and pricing considerations
- Maintain and update cost databases, labour rates, and pricing templates
- Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate and competitive submissions
- Meet tender deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- 6 to 10 years of experience in construction estimating and quantity surveying
- Demonstrated experience preparing BOQs, cost estimates, rate build ups, and tender submissions
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing principles
- Experience across building, civil, infrastructure, and MEP projects will be highly regarded
- Proficiency in estimating software (Cubit experience is advantageous)
- Advanced MS Excel skills and strong computer literacy
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
