ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER – Kalmunai Branch

Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management and running the branch as a profit center adhering to set norms/ operational guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Regional Office and Head Office to ensure smooth branch operations in the absence of the Branch Manager and carry out duties assigned by the Branch Manager.
- Oversee cash management operations, including local and foreign currency handling, ATM operations, daily balancing, and adherence to insurance requirements.
- Monitor the quality of customer service delivered by operations staff, intervening where necessary to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure full compliance with KYC, AML, and FIU requirements, including timely and accurate CBSL reporting where applicable.
- Coordinate and support branch-level marketing campaigns to canvass new business and expand the customer base.
Candidate Prerequisites:
- Full or part qualification in Banking from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL).
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in commercial banking, including 3–4 years in branch operational functions.
- In-depth knowledge of banking policies and procedures, operational processes, foreign exchange transactions, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
- Strong marketing and sales orientation with sound business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong flair for public relations and stakeholder management.
