VACANCY
Darley Butler & Co. Ltd markets some of most popular FMCG brands in the Sri Lankan market. With the growth of our port-polio of brands and our continuous strive for excellence, We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual who can lead the Occupational Health & Safety implementation in our manufacturing sites.
OHS EXECUTIVE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and maintain the site Occupational Health & Safety Management System in line with company standards, legal requirements and ISO guidelines.
- Conduct and support hazard identification and risk assessments.
- Ensure safe work procedures, method statements, and permits to work are in place.
- Coordinate incident, accident, and near miss reporting, lead investigation and maintain accurate data on all the incidents.
- Carry out routine site safety inspections and workplace audits.
- Conduct safety inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors and periodic safety training programs, and drills.
- Ensure contractors comply with site OHS requirements.
- Support development and implementation of emergency response plans.
- Ensure correct PPE selection, availability, and usage.
- Maintain OHS records, registers, and reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety performance with coordination with Group Head of Health & Safety.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Person having a degree/diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year work experience in the field of Heath & Safety.
- Strong interest in workplace safety, risk management, and compliance.
- Familiarity with MS Office tools; knowledge of OHS regulations is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Location: Colombo-based with exposure to multiple manufacturing sites.
