Marker Maker (Wathupitiwala)
The Job:
The Marker Maker is responsible for creating efficient markers to optimize fabric utilization, support production requirements, and minimize material wastage while maintaining quality and garment specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate markers according to production and style requirements.
- Optimize fabric consumption and minimize material wastage.
- Ensure markers comply with pattern, fabric, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Pattern Making, Cutting, and Production teams.
- Maintain marker records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in marker making, preferably in the lingerie industry.
- Knowledge of marker planning, fabric utilization, and garment construction.
- Proficiency in CAD/marker making software (Gerber, Lectra, or similar).
- Good attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines.
