Manager Risk Management & Policy Development
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Group Risk Management Framework and Risk Register.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and report key operational, financial, strategic, compliance, and reputational risks across the Group.
- Prepare and coordinate the Group Risk Management section for the Annual Report, ensuring accurate disclosure of key risks, mitigation strategies, risk governance practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly Risk Management reports to the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and senior management, highlighting key risks, emerging risks, control effectiveness, and mitigation progress.
- Coordinate with business units to implement risk mitigation plans and strengthen internal controls.
- Develop, review, and standardize Group-level policies, procedures, manuals, and guidelines.
- Ensure policies are aligned with legal, regulatory, internal control, and corporate governance requirements.
- Monitor compliance with approved policies, procedures, statutory requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors and follow up on audit findings and corrective actions.
- Prepare periodic risk, compliance, and policy review reports for senior management.
- Conduct awareness sessions on risk management, internal controls, compliance, and policy requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Risk Management, Law, Internal Audit, Compliance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, CMA, CIA, Risk Management, Compliance, or Corporate Governance would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, policy development, corporate governance, or internal controls.
- Experience in a group of companies, diversified business environment, or listed company would be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of risk management frameworks, internal controls, compliance, and corporate governance practices.
- Excellent analytical, report writing, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, professional judgement, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
