BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Securi-Fire International (Pvt) Ltd, a member of a diversified engineering group with over 25 years of excellence in Sri Lanka, is a leading provider of end-to-end Fire & Life Safety Systems solutions to the industrial and marine sectors.

As part of our ambitious growth and market expansion strategy, we are seeking an exceptional and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the company's growth agenda. Reporting directly to the Group Chairman and Board of Directors, this strategic leadership role will focus on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, developing high-value customer and partner relationships, and identifying new business opportunities to accelerate sustainable growth across our key business segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, markets and strategic partnerships to expand the company's footprint.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies, market penetration initiatives, and business development activities.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor sales, marketing, customer relationship management, and engineering teams to achieve agreed targets.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities, products, and services.
  • Develop and present business proposals, tenders, and commercial solutions to prospective clients and partners.
  • Evaluate existing business relationships and sales strategies, strengthening successful initiatives and introducing improvements where required.
  • Negotiate strategic partnerships, vendor agreements, and commercial contracts that support business growth.
  • Enhance the visibility, reputation, and market reach of the company and its brands.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA or professional qualification (CIM, SLIM, CIMA, etc.) preferred
  • 5–10 years of experience in Business Development, Sales or Commercial Leadership including senior management exposure
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Good understanding of engineering, contracting, project-based and tender-based businesses.
  • Experience in Fire Protection, Building Services, ELV, MEP, or Construction sectors will be an added advantage.
  • Results-driven leader with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver sustainable business growth.
