Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka.

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. Working closely with developers and product teams, you will help identify issues early, improve testing processes, and contribute to delivering a seamless experience for our users.

This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about building high-quality software in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality Assurance Initiative: Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of our software.
  • Build the QA Framework: Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated testing frameworks to enhance our development process.
  • Collaborate for Excellence: Work closely with developers and product teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, fostering a culture of quality across the organization and ensuring comprehensive test coverage and alignment with business goals.
  • Review code and automation scripts written by team members for quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Own test planning, execution, and reporting for multiple projects/releases in parallel.
  • Champion best practices for QA processes, tools, and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven individual with a proven track record to join our company. This role is to ensure that the product meets the highest standards of security, scalability, and reliability while enabling accelerated delivery through automation.

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a solid understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, test strategies, and test case design.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement QA processes from the ground up.
  • Proficiency in automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) and scripting languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams.
