Manager - Finance
The Job
- Oversee finance and operational support functions to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and management reports in compliance with SLFRS 4 and IFRS 17 requirements.
- Manage banking operations, treasury functions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and operational expenditure controls.
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting, including submissions required by the Statistics Department, Central Bank, and other regulatory authorities.
- Maintain compliance with statutory regulations, taxation requirements, GoAML obligations, corporate governance standards, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate with external auditors, banking institutions, regulatory authorities, and related stakeholders to facilitate audits, reporting, and compliance activities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard company assets, enhance operational efficiency, and mitigate financial and compliance risks.
The Person
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Full or part professional qualification in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or ACCA will be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the life insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and accounting systems.
- Ability to support strategic planning, business analysis, and informed decision-making.
