Logistics Executive
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Logistics Executive. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation, inventory, distribution activities, and vehicle fleet operations, ensuring efficient supply chain processes, timely deliveries, proper vehicle maintenance, and cost-effective logistics management while maintaining high service standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor daily logistics, transportation, and distribution activities.
- Plan and schedule deliveries to ensure timely dispatch and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, deliveries, and logistics costs.
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and transportation efficiency.
- Coordinate and monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, servicing, repairs, and inspections to ensure fleet availability and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, repairs, insurance, revenue licenses, and other fleet-related documentation.
- Monitor vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs to optimize fleet utilization and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation standards.
- Track shipments and resolve delivery delays or logistics-related issues promptly.
- Prepare logistics reports and analyze performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist in inventory planning and stock control to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics processes and reduce operational costs.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
- Knowledge of fleet management, vehicle maintenance coordination, and transportation operations.
- Ability to monitor vehicle servicing schedules and ensure compliance with vehicle safety and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in managing fleet-related records, maintenance documentation, and transportation costs will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of logistics coordination, inventory management, and distribution processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ERP or inventory management systems will be an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a team.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Coordinate and monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, servicing, repairs, and inspections to ensure fleet availability and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, repairs, insurance, revenue licenses, and other fleet-related documentation.
- Monitor vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs to optimize fleet utilization and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with vehicle safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with service providers and vendors to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure cost-effective maintenance planning and budgeting.
- Track and report maintenance costs and performance metrics.
