RELATIONSHIP MANAGER - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Location: Nugegoda (Metro)
As a Relationship Manager - Business Development, you will be responsible for achieving all lending targets, including Gold Loans, Deposits, and Recoveries, while managing day-to-day operations to ensure KPIs are met. Your role includes developing growth strategies, overseeing budget and financial performance, fostering client relationships, recruiting and coaching branch staff to maximize their potential, addressing operational issues, and ensuring compliance with CBSL regulations—all to drive branch success, staff retention, and customer satisfaction. You will report directly to the Regional Manager and be part of a dynamic team of professionals in the Non-Banking Financial Services sector. THE JOB ROLE
- Achieve all branch targets related to lending, including Gold Loans, Deposits, Recoveries, and profit.
- Develop and implement strategies for portfolio growth and revenue improvement.
- Recruit, train, and coach branch staff to maximize their potential, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and motivation while ensuring staff retention.
- Monitor, develop, and maintain budgets and financial reports for the designated region, analyzing sales and financial performance data.
- Build and manage relationships with key clients and stakeholders, foster partnerships and identifying collaborative opportunities.
- Identify and promptly address operational and customer service issues, ensuring high operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with CBSL regulations and policy requirements in all operational procedures and activities.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree or a professional qualification in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university or institute.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the Banking/Finance industry, including at least 2-3 years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of Fintech-based lending/financial products, credit evaluation, business development, market insights, and demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
