Technical Lead
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
About the Role
As a Technical Lead, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and robust enterprise solutions. You will be a proactive, driving force within the engineering team, taking direct ownership of initiatives and empowering other engineers to solve problems in a highly scalable manner. This role requires an excellent communicator who is comfortable collaborating directly with clients to turn their vision into technical reality, all while championing architectural excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Collaboration & Communication: Directly engage with clients and stakeholders to lead technical discussions, scope requirements, and translate business needs into scalable technical strategies.
- Proactive Technical Leadership: Take ownership of new initiatives, guide cross-functional teams, and mentor junior/mid-level engineers to approach complex problems with scalability in mind.
- Architecture & Enterprise Solutions: Design, develop, and architect robust, multi-tenant SaaS systems while establishing and maintaining high standards of software quality, security, and governance.
- Operational Excellence: Determine operational feasibility through rigorous analysis, optimize system flows, improve engineering processes, and actively identify and mitigate technical risks.

Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a proven track record of leading engineering efforts or mentoring teams.
Technical Skillset
- Core Development: Strong proficiency in Python (and familiarity with other enterprise backend ecosystems like Java or TypeScript).
- Cloud Architecture: Deep hands-on experience with AWS platform services and modern infrastructure planning.
- Modern AI Paradigms: A strong conceptual and practical understanding of Generative AI and Agentic Systems, including hands-on exposure to agentic frameworks like LangGraph.
- Data & Streaming Systems: Experience designing event-driven systems utilizing streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.
- APIs & Microservices: Solid experience building distributed systems, microservices, and modern API design RESTful, GraphQL with strict security practices.
- Database Expertise: Strong experience with relational and non-relational data stores e.g. PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MongoDB.
