SENIOR MANAGER - BRANCH OPERATIONS
Location : Head Office (Colombo 14)
As the Senior Manager – Branch Operations, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across the branch network, with specific accountability for Fixed Deposit, Gold Loan operations, and overall branch operations excellence. You will lead end-to-end branch operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, service excellence, and regulatory compliance, while strengthening controls and improving processes across Fixed Deposit and Gold Loan portfolios. Working closely with Finance, Treasury, Risk, Credit, Compliance and Senior Management, you will support funding growth, portfolio quality, cost optimization, and risk management. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and play a key leadership role within the Non-Banking Financial Services sector, contributing to sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term business success.

THE JOB ROLE
- Provide strategic leadership and end-to-end oversight of Branch Operations, Fixed Deposit Operations, and Pawning Operations to drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, and regulatory integrity.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) regulations, internal policies, and enterprise risk frameworks, proactively managing regulatory and compliance risks.
- Oversee branch performance by driving operational efficiency, service quality, cost control, and profitability across the branch network.
- Develop and strengthen operational policies, procedures, and control frameworks to support organizational objectives, risk mitigation, and process effectiveness.
- Manage the growth, quality, and stability of the Fixed Deposit portfolio, ensuring liquidity strength, depositor confidence, and funding sustainability.
- Supervise pawning operations, including valuation standards, auction processes, portfolio performance, and risk controls, ensuring asset quality and compliance.
- Enhance internal controls, audit compliance, and fraud prevention through strong governance, timely corrective actions, and continuous monitoring.
- Lead and performance manage senior operational teams, fostering accountability, high performance, and leadership development.
- Work closely with Credit, Risk, Compliance, IT, and Finance teams to ensure smooth operations, effective risk management, and strategic alignment.
- Represent the Company with regulators, auditors, and key stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships, compliance standing, and corporate reputation.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Management, Accounting or a related discipline from a recognized university or institute; (A Master’s Degree or professional qualification such as CA, CIMA, ACCA, MBA will be an added advantage).
- Minimum of 10–15 years’ experience in treasury, finance, branch operations, or financial risk management, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Strong understanding of branch banking operations, deposit products, gold-backed lending, financial markets, funding instruments, and regulatory frameworks applicable to NBFS institutions.
- Proven experience in branch operations, fixed deposit mobilization, and pawning operations within a licensed finance company or bank.
- Strong knowledge of CBSL regulations, financial products, and operational risk management.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and strategic thinking.
