DEPUTY MANAGER – INTERNAL AUDIT
As we continue to lead and transform, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) is seeking a passionate and driven professional who embodies responsibility, adaptability and a commitment to excellence to take on this exciting role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Head of Internal Audit in developing and executing the annual audit plan.
- Lead and supervise audit assignments across academic, financial, operational, and compliance areas.
- Review audit working papers and findings, ensuring quality and alignment with professional standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose audit priorities accordingly.
- Co-ordinate and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations with respective departments.
- Prepare concise, accurate, and clear internal audit reports for management and the Audit Committee.
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to audit staff.
- Participate in special reviews and investigations as and when required.
- Maintain effective working relationships with management while preserving audit independence.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- A mid-level qualification from CA Sri Lanka or a similar qualification from a recognised professional body such as ACCA, CMA, or AAT.
- A minimum of 4 years' relevant audit experience, preferably including internal audit experience.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit methodologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
