Area Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve area-wise sales targets and drive business growth.
- Manage, supervise, and motivate Marketing Executives within the assigned territories.
- Expand the distributor, dealer, wholesaler, and retailer network to increase market penetration and sales coverage.
- Monitor sales performance and ensure the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer requirements to identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and other business partners.
- Conduct regular market visits to evaluate sales activities and ensure effective coverage of assigned areas.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with the sales team and Sales Coordinator to ensure smooth sales operations and the timely achievement of sales targets.
- Prepare and review sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence reports for management.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and effective management of customer accounts.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to Marketing Executives to improve team productivity and results.
Requirements
- G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) qualification is mandatory.
- Educational qualifications in Sales, Marketing, Agriculture, Business Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in food products, rice sales, FMCG sales, or a similar sales environment.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or sales management role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and successfully managing sales teams.
- Experience in distributor management, retail sales, and territory development.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve business objectives.
- Possession of a valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and sales reporting tools will be an added advantage.
