Business System Analyst - Finance

Location: Colombo (Rajagiriya)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of the ERP Finance module, ensuring successful project delivery from planning through to post-implementation support
  • Gather, analyze, and document Finance business requirements while conducting fit-gap analysis and process mapping to recommend effective ERP solutions
  • Configure, validate, and maintain Finance master data, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with business requirements
  • Plan and execute Finance data migration, reconciliation, and validation activities to ensure a seamless transition to the ERP system
  • Collaborate with Finance users, cross-functional teams, and ERP implementation partners to deliver integrated business solutions and drive system adoption
  • Identify opportunities to optimize Finance processes through automation, digital transformation, and ERP best practices while ensuring compliance with financial controls and reporting standards
  • Provide end-user training, go-live support, and ongoing system enhancements to maximize ERP performance and improve business efficiency

Person Specifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CMA
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, Finance Systems, or ERP Finance module implementation.
  • Proven hands-on experience in implementing ERP Finance modules such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, IFS, WFX, Infor, or similar ERP solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance processes including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Costing, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting
  • Experience in Finance requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, process mapping, master data management, data migration, and Finance testing (SIT/UAT)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and ERP implementation partners.
  • Experience in Finance process improvement, system automation, ERP go-live activities, and post-implementation support to drive operational excellence
  • Experience in the manufacturing or apparel industry and knowledge of IFRS and statutory financial reporting within ERP systems will be a distinct advantage
