MANAGER (VASANTHAM TV) - CONTRACT
Independent Television Network Ltd., (ITN) is a premier media network in Sri Lanka which operates two TV channels (ITN and Vasantham) and two radio channels (Lakhanda and Vasantham FM) serving Sinhala and Tamil speaking communities along with the channel ITN Digital for social media activities.
ITN also operate MMC ITN Campus which is dedicated to excellence in digital education. ITN Max the network’s OTT platform is the latest addition to ITN Media portfolio, redefining digital entertainment for modern audiences.
Applications are invited for the following post of ITN from citizens of Sri Lanka possessing the following qualifications and experience.
MANAGER (VASANTHAM TV) - CONTRACT
The Manager (Vasantham TV) will be responsible for leading the conceptualization, planning, development, and production of Vasantham TV programmes while overseeing all related programme management functions. The role involves planning, organizing, implementing, directing, and controlling all programme production activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality content that aligns with the channel's vision and organizational objectives.
Educational Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Arts in the field of Journalism, Mass Communication, Film and Television Production, Television Programme Production which is recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka
- WITH A Masters Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka in one of the above fields.
- AND Minimum of twelve (12) years experience in a managerial level post in the relevant field in a Corporation, Statutory Board or a reputed institution.
Internal Candidates
Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates above.
OR
Completion of minimum two (02) years satisfactory service in a post in the Manager category (MM 1-1) Grade I in the subject area relevant to the post at Independent Television Network Ltd.
WITH
Completion of Second Efficiency Bar Test
Age
Age should be not less than 35 years and not more than 55 years. The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.
Contract Allowance
Basic monthly Allowance ( Rs. 123,019/- ) + Cost of Living Allowance (Rs. 17,800/-) (based on the revised basic salary as per Schedule II of the Management Service Circular No. 01/2025)
Note 01: Preference will be given to applicants who are proficient in Tamil language.
Notes 02: Candidates selected for the post will be recruited on contract basis for a period of one (01) year and contract agreement is renewable on yearly basis based on performance.
FRINGE BENEFITS
- Monthly Attendance Incentive Allowance as per the company regulations.
- Provision of transport facilities applicable as per the PED circular Nos. 01/2015, 1/2015(i) & 1/2015(ii) as decided by the Board of Directors.
- 24 hrs. Insurance coverage for accidents.
- Provident Fund contributions 10% by employee and 15% by employer.
- 3% contribution to the ETF by employer.
