We are expanding our operations and inviting a dedicated and experienced Storekeeper/Assistant Storekeeper to join us in ensuring smooth warehouse and distribution management. Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Storekeeper / Assistant Storekeeper to assist the Stores Manager in maintaining an efficient and well-structured warehouse operation. The ideal candidate will execute daily warehouse activities, ensure inventory accuracy, manage space allocation, and coordinate with sales teams to support timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Stores Manager in maintaining warehouse order and operational efficiency.
- Supervise loading, unloading, and dispatching activities to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and allocate receiving cargo effectively.
- Manage and lead a diverse workforce, ensuring productivity and teamwork.
- Plan and monitor distribution routes to achieve timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Coordinate closely with sales teams to align warehouse operations with customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Recognized qualification in Supply Chain Management or Stores/Warehouse Management.
- 5-8 years of proven experience in warehouse and distribution management in a reputed organization.
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (SAP).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong leadership, people management, and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in Sinhala and English; fluency in Tamil is an advantage.
