We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and results-oriented individual to join our team in the following role:
MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of manufacturing machines and supporting equipment
- Attend to machine failures promptly to minimize production downtime
- Monitor machine performance and identify recurring technical issues
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery
- Maintain maintenance records, spare parts usage, and machine history documentation
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth plant operations
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out according to safety standards and company procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine efficiency and productivity
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in steel, wire, nail manufacturing, or heavy machinery operations will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals
- Good troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Computer literacy in MS Office and maintenance documentation
- Location - within 15 Km from the Katunayake EPZ
