ASSISTANT MANAGER - FINANCE

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly Management Accounts through regular monitoring of revenue recognition and expenditure to support data-driven decision-making and compliance with statutory financial policies.
  • Manage overall working capital through effective debtor management and timely payments to vendors.
  • Facilitate external and internal audits by coordinating with auditors.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure operational and financial compliance.
  • Ensure effective tax management through timely and accurate handling of statutory obligations to maximize stakeholder value and avoid penalties.
  • Conduct financial feasibility studies for new projects by liaising with all stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop and manage the team by providing regular feedback and guidance on individual performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Fully qualified in CA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent, with a Bachelor’s Degree/master’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 1 year in a leadership role, preferably within logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory framework, IFRS/SLFRS and local tax laws.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
