About the Role
A leading organization in the Banking & Financial Services sector is seeking a Foreign Desk Relationship Manager (Japan) to manage and expand relationships with Japanese corporates and investors in Sri Lanka. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth, facilitating trade and investment opportunities, and providing high-quality relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with Japanese corporate and individual clients.
- Acquire new clients and grow the existing portfolio.
- Drive revenue generation through deposits, lending, trade finance, and related financial products.
- Establish connections with Japanese business associations and key institutions.
- Support trade and investment opportunities involving Japanese businesses.
- Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships and increase wallet share.
- Provide market and cultural insights to support business growth.
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver tailored financial solutions.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Achieve agreed business and portfolio objectives.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Relationship Management, Business Development, or Financial Services.
- Fluency in Japanese and English is mandatory.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multinational corporate clients.
