Foreign Desk Relationship Manager (China)

About the Role
A leading organization in the Banking & Financial Services sector is seeking a Foreign Desk Relationship Manager (China) to develop and manage relationships with Chinese corporates and high-net-worth individuals operating in Sri Lanka. The role involves business development, portfolio management, trade and investment facilitation, and delivering customized banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of Chinese corporate and individual clients.
- Acquire new-to-business clients and expand existing relationships.
- Drive deposit, lending, trade finance, and treasury-related opportunities.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across products and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with Chinese business networks, chambers of commerce, and relevant institutions.
- Support investment and trade-related initiatives between Sri Lanka and China.
- Provide insights on market trends and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Achéive assigned business and portfolio targets.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications or an MBA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Relationship Management, Business Development, or Financial Services.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is mandatory.
- Strong stakeholder management and networking skills.
- Ability to engage with multinational corporate clients and business communities.
