DATA SCIENTIST / ENGINEER
Our ICT Team is looking for a dynamic, driven, determined & charismatic individual to join us.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acquire data sets that align with business needs (This is relevant for business analysis and data mining)
- Develop algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable information
- Build, test and maintain database pipeline architectures (Mainly MySQL and other big-data-data sources)
- Collaborate with the Management to understand company objectives
- Create new data validation methods and data analysis tools
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies
JOB SPECIFICATION
- Coding – use of SQL/NoSQL/Java/Python/R/Tableau/PHP
- DMS/RDMS Skill – MS-SQL/MySQL/Mongo DB
- ETL Skill (Extract-Transform-Load) – Stitch/Talend/Xplenty, Apache Airflow, Airbyte, or any other tool
- Data Storage – Data Lakes and Data Warehouse
- Automation and Scripting (RPA)
- Machine Learning and AI integration
- Big data tools – Hadoop/Kafka/Hive/Spark/Pig
- Cloud computing
- BSc/B-Eng. in IT/Software Engineering/Data Science/Statistics
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Power BI Experience
- Experience with data engineering best practices
- Added advantage in having PHP/MySQL programming
