CHEF DE PARTIE - CHINESE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef De Partie – Chinese to join Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka’s largest hotel owner with a portfolio of 17 hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a designated kitchen section, ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and service requirements.
- Plan and manage daily mise en place to ensure readiness for service and special events.
- Supervise and guide junior kitchen associates, fostering teamwork and skill development.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance.
- Monitor stock usage, support inventory control, and minimize wastage within the section.
- Coordinate closely with Sous Chefs and the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role within a star-class hotel or reputable restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Ability to lead and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
- Passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences.
