The selected candidate will be responsible for leading HR operations, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, strengthening employee engagement, and contributing to organizational growth through effective people management practices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall Human Resources operations function to deliver efficient, accurate, and timely HR services across recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll, HRIS, and employee relations.
  • Ensure HR practices are aligned with applicable labour laws, regulatory standards, internal policies, and organizational procedures while keeping the company updated on relevant employment requirements.
  • Provide professional support and guidance on HR-related matters such as employment contracts, disciplinary processes, grievance handling, employee concerns, and workplace dispute resolution.
  • Drive continuous enhancement of HR systems and processes through policy reviews, process improvements, digitalization initiatives, and the adoption of modern HR best practices.
  • Oversee payroll, employee benefits, and HR information systems while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, and timely completion of all related activities.
  • Promote a positive and compliant work environment by strengthening employee relations, supporting fair decision-making, and encouraging transparency across all HR interactions.
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, retention, and talent development strategies in line with business objectives and organizational culture.
  • Manage the performance management cycle and coordinate employee development, training, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Work closely with legal advisors, regulatory bodies, and internal departments when required to resolve HR compliance matters and maintain proper governance standards.
  • Prepare detailed HR reports, analytics, and management insights to support strategic decision-making, organizational development, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Law, or an equivalent professional qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum three (03) years experience in the capacity of Assistant Manager HR or above.
  • Professional qualifications in HRM from CIPM or equivalent institutions would be an added advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws, HR policies, and employment regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Sinhala and English.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, presentation, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing teams and organizational priorities.
  • Age is preferably below 40 years.

Assistant Manager HR Operations

The selected candidate will support and coordinate HR operations, employee relations, recruitment activities, compliance requirements, and people development initiatives while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Human Resources function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, payroll coordination, and day-to-day HR administration.
  • Assist in handling employee relations matters, grievances, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution activities.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, training programmes, employee engagement activities, and staff development initiatives.
  • Maintain HRIS records, prepare HR reports, and provide analytical support for management decision-making.
  • Assist in improving HR procedures, documentation systems, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications in HRM from CIPM or an equivalent professional institution would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum three (03) years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws, HR policies, and employee relations practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Sinhala and English.
  • Strong coordination, problem solving, reporting, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
