Tubemakers & Roofmart (SP) Pte Ltd is one of the South Pacific's leading manufacturers of uPVC, mPVC, and HDPE pipe systems, supplying quality piping solutions throughout Fiji and the Pacific region. Established in 1986, the company operates modern manufacturing facilities in Lautoka and manufactures products to recognised AS/NZS standards.
We are seeking experienced and motivated PVC & HDPE Pipe Machine Setter / Operator to join our manufacturing team based in Lautoka, Fiji.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up, operate, and monitor PVC and HDPE pipe extrusion lines.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and machine efficiencies are achieved.
- Perform machine changesovers, start-ups, and shutdowns.
- Monitor product dimensions and quality throughout production.
- Troubleshoot process and machine-related issues.
- Record production data and maintain accurate production reports.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Conduct routine machine inspections and basic maintenance.
- Minimize material waste and improve production efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years' experience operating or setting PVC and/or HDPE pipe extrusion machinery.
- Good understanding of extrusion processes, raw materials, and product quality requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret production specifications and quality standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of pipe manufacturing standards will be an advantage.
- Ability to work shifts and under pressure to meet production deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Trade Certificate, Technical Qualification, or relevant manufacturing experience.
- Experience with PLC-controlled extrusion equipment.
- Forklift license would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of pipe manufacturing standards will be an advantage.
