VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT:

Manager Resource Mobilisation

We at LEADS, work with the most vulnerable Sri Lankan communities and children who seek protection from the economic and social circumstances. We are a faith based community development organisation that partners with people of all faiths. We operate island-wide, focusing on the most vulnerable children and communities through our community development, emergency relief and advocacy interventions. We are currently seeking applications for the above vacancy at our Colombo office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead on the development, implementation, and update of the Donor engagement strategy, building on the existing donor mapping and ongoing engagements.

  • To supervise and develop a highly effective and responsive resource mobilisation team to meet the objectives of resource mobilisation and donor engagement, and the supporting action plan for achieving the Annual Objectives. Edit and ensure quality assurance of donor reports and project proposals in line with donor-specific guidance and requirements.

Engage in targeted networking to establish connections, leading to the development, mobilisation, prioritisation, and management of partnerships with the purpose of mobilising resources.

Develop marketing / profiling campaigns and other events to launch and maintain LEADS child focused programmes as a recognised reputed credible service product locally as well as abroad. Supervises the development of and use of digital and social media platforms such as websites, Facebook, Instagram, twitter, emails and SMS etc in order to access new opportunities to increase income, specifically with a focus on organisational strategic direction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree or equivalent in fields related to International Affairs, Entrepreneurship, Marketing or Communications or another relevant field. At least five years' work experience in a senior management level in an NGO with strong track record in fundraising, proposal writing and leading donor relations with governments and corporate partners at a global level.

Experience in advising senior management on fundraising and partnership opportunities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deliver in a high-pressure environment. Ability to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixing long-term projects with the urgency of immediate demands. Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, and other related software packages.
