LEGAL ASSOCIATE AND LEGAL INTERN
Sudath Perera Associates (www.sudathpereraassociates.com) is looking to recruit an Intern and an Associate for the Criminal Defense Department of the firm.
Job Role
The role would involve assisting the Criminal Defense Team and Brand Protection & Anti- Counterfeiting Team in criminal litigation matters, particularly appearing in the Court of Appeal, High Courts and Magistrate's Courts, regulatory matters including PHI/Consumer Affairs Authority related work, intellectual property rights enforcement matters, carrying out legal research, legal drafting, and other related work.
Requirements
Undergraduates (Final year students are preferred)
Attorney-at-Law, with 1-2 years' work experience.
Strong academic qualifications with 2:1 (or equivalent) undergraduate Law degree.
Detail oriented with excellent communications skills (strong proficiency in legal drafting in English and Sinhala required).
- Ability to work together as part of a close-knit team with strong interpersonal skillsWell-disciplined with experience working in a fast-paced challenging environment and the ability to multi-task.
Proactive and highly responsive with an ability to prioritize workload effectively.
Candidates should possess a desire to pursue a career in Criminal Law, Intellectual Property Law and Regulatory Laws.
