The Fortress Resort & Spa, Sri Lanka's celebrated Global Award Winning Luxury Boutique Hotel seeks suitably qualified and dedicated individual for immediate employment in the following capacity. Responsibilities:
Social Media Marketing Specialist
You'll be responsible for managing all aspects of our social media presence, from crafting compelling content to fostering a vibrant online community. Your hospitality background will be a huge asset, allowing you to connect with our guests on a deeper level and showcase the exceptional service we offer.
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our overall marketing goals.
Create high-quality, engaging content that captures the essence of our hotel and its offerings (text, photos, videos). Utilize SEO best practices to optimize content for search-ability and drive traffic to our social media pages and website. Schedule and publish content across all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
Utilize social media advertising platforms to set up, launch, and monitor campaigns.
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media paid advertising strategy aligned with our overall marketing goals. Analyze social media data and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Write informative, engaging, and SEO-optimized blog posts and articles on a variety of industry-related topics.
- Analyze blog performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in social media marketing or a related field.

Proven track record of creating engaging and effective social media content.
Experience with social media paid advertising, scheduling and analytics tools.
A background in hospitality is highly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on creative storytelling. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
