Action Unity Lanka (AU Lanka) is a non-profit, local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), working in collaboration with the children and communities to improve their well-beingn with the funding support from ChildFund. AU Lanka has been working in Batticaloa since 2011. In the year 2020, the Organization has expanded its program scope and is now implementing programs in other regions of Sri Lanka.
AU Lanka works for the well-being of children by supporting local initiatives that strengthen families and communities, enabling them to overcome poverty and protect the rights of their children. AU Lanka's comprehensive programs includes health, education, nutrition and livelihood interventions that sustainably protect nurture and develop children.
AU Lanka is looking for young, energetic, self-motivated and dedicated men or women to fill the following vacancy in the Batticaloa District.
1. Field Officer (01 Vacanciy. Kiran) - Work with the Sponsorship unit at field level. The candidate must ensure good liaison between the sponsors and the children. All the sponsorship documents of enrolled families are to kept safe and confidential and the correspondence must carried out in a timely manner so that the sponsor relationship will be maintained. The Field Officer will also have to ensure maximum benefits are received by the enrolled children. The children's nutrition and education will have to be monitored and support given to maintain these at satisfactory levels. The field officer will also be required to support program activities of AU Lanka. Field Travel is required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: This vacancy requires a minimum of GCE Advanced level educational qualifications. Extra qualifications as per the post will be an added advantage. basic computer literacy is a must. Must be familiar with MS office
Experience: Minimum of 2 years working experience in the related field.
Age: Males or Females between the age of 25-45 years old can apply
Communication Skills: Written and speaking ability both in English & Tamil. Should be able to do presentations and public speaking to persuade and influence audiences. Should adopt a systematic, rather than a reactive approach to problems. Has to work well with people from diverse background.
Must possess a valid riding license as field travel is required. Preference will be given to residents of the Kiran area.
Remuneration: An attractive renumaration will be paid to the selected candidate based on the educational qualifications and experience.
Duration: 3 months probation period and full time yearly contract with the possibility of a renewal.
