Assistant Manager - Quality Assurance & Technical
Statesman (Pvt) Ltd., following three decades of business in Sri Lanka. The strategic location of our research center and production facilities in Wattala simplifies the whole design and delivery process for headwear and clothing. LW Reid PTY Limited, our sales and operations division, is based in Sydney, whereas MCH Holdings, our corporate headquarters, is based in Brisbane. Over the last 30 years, our specialty has been making school wear and headwear, with a proud heritage of MCH being Australia's oldest hat maker for over 186 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to conduct Inline, Pre-final, FINAL inspections is a must, provide & share inspection computer typed reports on a daily basis to the customers overseas.
- Create CAP reports of every issue, analyze the route cause and fix solutions for each issue found during production and inspection process.
Should be able to maintain and implement best practices to ensure Quality Assurance in Manufacturing from concept to delivery. Such as, AQL standards, product safety, and fabric / trim inspection systems, accuracy of cutting, inline / end line quality controlling systems, garment finishing/packing and finishing procedures.
Knowledge on fit & construction and technical skills is a pre-requisite.
- Should be able to communicate through WIP reports & handling order schedule, conducting pre-production meetings and coordinate issues.
- Ability to learn and adopt to manage multiple SKU's, scan system and loading system to understand the shipment process and manage pre and final audits.
- Knowledge on all types of fabrics/trims and their inherent quality parameters to give solutions to factories.
Requirements:
Should possess a degree/diploma in Quality Management or Apparel Manufacturing Management.
Should have sound computer literacy, Microsoft office package is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience in an equivalent position in manufacturing & reputed garment buying house would be a distinct advantage.
