Metal Detector Training and Repairing Assistance

The Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is a British non-governmental organization registered as a Charity undertaking humanitarian mine action around the world. MAG is working to save lives and build futures in Sri Lanka by reducing the risk presented by remnants of conflict.

MAG is seeking a motivated and competent individual for the post of Metal Detector Training and Repairing Assistance to provide objective assurance that MAG's business risks are being managed effectively through effective operations of the internal control framework. Metal Detector Training and Repairing Assistance responsible for repairing and maintaining the fleet of MAG Sri Lanka metal detectors and assisting the technician in his absence to provide theoretical and practical training lessons as per MAG Sri Lanka Training Management Package and SOP.

Essential Skills & Requirements

Should have a Certificate in Electrical / Electricians / Equipment repairs and maintenance from a recognized Institution.

  • Should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the related field.

Knowledge and experience in repairing Mine Lab and Vallon metal detectors are preferable.

Should have knowledge in technical skills to detect faults and repair electronic devices, components, and parts.

  • Should be able to provide training with metal detectors.
  • Flexible to work on 21 days continuous (work cycle).
  • Accommodation allowance will be provided for candidates out of deployment districts.

Salary will be based on the MAG Salary Scale on a fixed-term contract.
