Manager - Regulatory Compliance (RC)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Regulatory Compliance function of the Compliance Department, reporting directly to the AGM Compliance
- and regulations
- Ensure awareness of all applicable Laws, rules and regulations issued by the CBSL and other regulatory authorities and effective communication all new regulatory requirements to business and operations
- units
- Provide regulatory consultation/advisory to Business/Operations units as and when needed
- Develop/Review Regulatory Compliance policies and procedures to ensure they comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and controls are up-to-date and effective
- Regularly monitor Bank's Compliance levels through Compliance Reviews
- Act as the liaising officer with CBSL which includes obtaining clarifications on behalf of the business/support units when required
- Responsible for providing training to employees on Regulatory Compliance matters to promote and enhance a strong bank-wide compliance culture
- Preparation of compliance reports/papers on regulatory compliance for the EIRMC/BIRMC & BOD
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- A Degree in
Management/Finance/Law
or full qualification in Banking or
Finance/CIMA/ACCA/CA or equivalent Professional qualification
- Minimum 8 years of Banking experience out of which 4-6 years in a Compliance related role
- Knowledge in Foreign Exchange Regulations is mandatory
- A detail-oriented individual with excellent computer skills in MS Office
- Good interpersonal skills, training skills, and leadership skills
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in English including report writing
- Sound knowledge on Regulatory Compliance, Anti Money Laundering and Corporate Governance
