Merchandiser - Procurement
Key Responsibilities
- Should possess thorough knowledge in fabric, trims, garments with various finishes, analyzing delivery charts, managing raw material stock, methods of assessing suppliers, industry norms and standards
- Should be able to ensure that the raw materials required for orders are purchased timely & cost-effectively, whilst constantly monitoring the order progress & taking remedial action when required, so that OTD, OTT, material fulfillment, quality specifications, process requirements and delivery schedules are adhered
- Proven ability to develop & maintain strong professional relationships with internal & external cross-functional teams and cost-effectively manage all designated responsibilities
Person Specifications
- A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent professional qualification in Marketing / Business Administration/Apparel from an accredited university/ professional institution
- Minimum 02 years relevant work experience in an Apparel manufacturing environment
- Should be a team player possessing strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, time management skills and be able to work under pressure with a positive attitude
- Ability to multi-task, work independently under minimum supervision, follow through on commitments and meet assigned deadlines Should be proactive, assertive and a forward-thinker
- Should be able to perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when the need arises
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
