EXECUTIVE - ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY & CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT

We are recruiting for Executive - Environment Sustainability & Chemical Management for Stretchline Sri Lanka to join Stretchline Holdings Ltd, the world's largest supplier of narrow elasticated fabrics, covered yarns, dyed yarns, and textile innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensure that the plant is in compliance with RSL, MRSL, ZDHC & Stretchline policy/compliance requirements.
  • Represent the organization in Cluster chemical forums.
  • Conduct internal audits, perform corrective actions on non-conformance & follow up CAP's Periodic updating & sharing of chemical inventory.
  • Responsible in arranging biannual ZDHC water testing, Chemical related research and projects. Conducting chemical risk assessments, Chemical life cycle analysis, etc.
  • Act as the Management Representative for Chemical Management.
  • Should communicate with internal stakeholders when a non-compliance is detected related to chemical and or waste management; ensure proper corrective measures are taken within agreed timelines to minimize recurrence.
  • Should attend customer meetings on supplier reviews & complaints as & when required.
  • Responsible to work collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders in order to get recognized sustainability certifications.
  • Ensure the company meets ENV performance indicators with respect to chemical management and have zero/minimum non-conformities in audits/compliance assessments such as Higg FEM/FSLM, ISO 14001, Brand ethical compliance ZDHC, GRS
  • Should liaise with internal stakeholders & executives regularly to improve and meet chemical management requirements & targets.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in Chemical and Process Engineering from a reputed university.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Sound analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail & methodical approach to work.
